Tonight! All are welcome and encouraged to join us on Thursday evenings for a free meal (July 9th - salad bar, chicken salad, chicken tortellini soup, and dessert) followed by "Hope on the Hill," a half hour time of worship and praise, incorporating contemporary Christian music videos, a very short message, scripture, and prayer.
The music playlist for July 9th can be found HERE. Scripture will include Luke 18:9-14 and Matthew 5:3-12, The Beatitudes.
The meal is served in the church fellowship room at 5:30 and the half hour service will begin at 6:00 ending promptly by 6:30. Please, come! You will leave refueled and refreshed, after eating delicious food and filling your heart and mind with words and music centered on God.

A small usage fee will be deducted from your gift for this option or you may cover the fee with your gift.  Whether you choose to give online, mail in your gift to the church office, or place your gift in the offering plate during Sunday services, we thank you for your support as we promote the Gospel at the Hillsboro Methodist Church!

We took lunch and visited with Dick and Judy James after our worship service April 19 and June 7. We have missed seeing them at church, as Dick continues to heal at home, following a fall many weeks ago. (Click on the photo to see more.)

We enjoyed a pizza lunch followed by playing board games and puzzles, following morning worship on Feb. 15, 2026. 

On Feb. 8, 2026, we enjoyed a variety of soups following our morning worship service.

Congratulations to Tina Furness for winning the Golden Ladel Award at our 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off! Tami Moler placed 2nd and Nelma Lawton's chili was voted 3rd place. 

Thank you to all eight of the chefs of our yummy pots of chili and all who participated! It was a great time of fellowship and full bellies!

Sharon Furness made certain that everyone who drove through or dined in with us on Oct. 31st got treats to go along with their grilled hamburgers and hot dog meal. 

Our annual Good Shepherd Methodist Parish cookout at the Niehaus home was held on Oct. 12. Good food, singing around the campfire, and great fellowship. See photos HERE

The Hillsboro Methodist Preschool float was awarded 1st place in the religious category of the 2025 Old Settlers Parade! The float featured photos of the preschool classes of 1975 and 2025, fitting well into the parade theme of "Making Memories," as we have been doing that, while serving our community for 50 years and counting!      The Hillsboro Methodist Church is celebrating 200+ years of Christ centered worship! On Sunday, May 19th, 2024, we honored the rich history of the Methodist Church in Hillsboro with a special worship service, choir, catered dinner, and sharing of history of the church in Hillsboro.  You can see many photos of that event here .     

Although there have been changes in location, name, pastors, and parishioners, one thing has remained the same - our commitment to Christ! We feel so blessed to honor our past and joyfully embrace our future here in Hillsboro! View a historical slideshow here.
