Hillsboro Methodist Church

We honored our Veterans in attendance at worship service on Nov. 10th, in honor of Veterans' Day. 

Wednesday evening Bible studies, including viewing an episode of "The Chosen," will continue Wednesday, November 27th, at 6:00, with the viewing of episode 7 of season 1, entitled “Invitations," where we will see Jesus meet with Nicodemus. (View a clip here.)

Even if you have not attended our studies and viewings of the first five episodes, you will learn much from viewing and discussing this video. Please, join us in the fellowship hall of the Hillsboro Methodist Church on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.

The Hillsboro Methodist Church float placed 2nd in the religious float category of Hillsboro's Old Settlers parade, which comes with a $75 prize, and 2nd at Witt Labor Day Parade in the our-of-town category, with a $50 prize.  A big thank you to all who built the float and rode or walked in the parades. 

The Good Shepherd Parish, including the Coffeen Methodist, Hillsboro Methodist, Fillmore Methodist, and Irving Methodist congregations worshiped together at the Coffeen Methodist Church on June 30th, 2024. 

Roger Reeves gave a presentation of the history of the Hillsboro Methodist Church at the May 19, 2024, 200th anniversary celebration service. See video HERE.

     The Hillsboro Methodist Church is celebrating 200 years of Christ centered worship! On Sunday, May 19th, 2024, we honored the rich history of the Methodist Church in Hillsboro with a special worship service, choir, catered dinner, and sharing of history of the church in Hillsboro.  You can see many photos of that event here .     

Although there have been changes in location, name, pastors, and parishioners, one thing has remained the same - our commitment to Christ! We feel so blessed to honor our past and joyfully embrace our future here in Hillsboro! View a historical slideshow here.
